As per your demand here I am providing you information about the procedure of IAS Exam along with eligibility. Here I am telling you about it as you want. Full procedure for appearing in IAS examination This is a one year exam. 1. Any graduate applicants can sit in IAS exam. 2. applicants will have to fill up the form with the selective papers. 3.then applicants will sit in the preliminary exam of IAS. 4.if applicants will qualify in the preliminary exam then you will sit in the IAS mains exam. 5.after clearing the mains , applicants will call for interview of about 200 marks. 6. after the interview there will be a merit list .if applicants name will be there below 100 then applicants will be the IAS officer.... The selection process includes followings stages; 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview IAS Eligibility criteria : Age limits : 21 - 30 yrs for general applicants. 21 - 33 yrs for OBC applicants. 21 - 35 yrs for SC/ST applicants. Education qualification : The applicants must possess a graduate degree from any recognized university. Those in the final year of a degree course can also Eligible. Number of attempts: 4 attempts for general applicants 7 attempts for OBC applicants There is no limits for SC/ST applicants Stage 1 Preliminary Paper 1 i) Preliminary Examinations Examinations will consist of two papers. Paper 1 - General Studies (150 marks) Paper 2 - One Subject to be selected: from the list of optional subjects the list is given below (300 Marks) Total marks 450 marks List of Optional Subjects: a) Agriculture b) Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science c) Botany d) Civil Engineering e) Commerce f) Economics g) Electrical Engineering h) Geography i) Geology j) Indian History k) Law l) Mathematics m) Mechanical Engineering n) Medical Science o) Philosophy p) Physics q) Political Science r) Psychology s) Public Administration t) Sociology u) Statistics v) Zoology Stage 2 Main The written examination will consist of the following papers: Paper 1 - One of the Indian languages to be selected by the applicants from the Languages included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution. 300 marks Paper 2 - English 300 marks Paper 3 - Essay 200 marks Paper 4 - General Studies I 300 marks Paper 5 - General Studies II 300 marks Paper 6,7,8 & 9 any two subjects to be selected from The list of the optional subjects each Subject have two papers. 1200 marks Total Main Marks 2000 marks Interview Test 300 marks Grand Total after Interview Test 2300 marks |
