Hello sir, I want to appear in Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET), so can you tell me that on which dates Gujarat Technological University will conduct Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) in 2012?

Can you tell me what the exam date was for Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2016? Also provide me the syllabus of Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET)?

GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) is conducted by State Goverment of Goa for admissions to professional courses of MBBS, BDS, BHMS, B.E. & B.Pharm.This multiple choice exam is based on class 12 syllabi prescribed for subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Computer Science by Goa board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

Goa CET GCET 2016 Notification:-

Start of receiving forms for GCET- 28-03-2016

Last date for receiving applications and issue of admit cards - 02-04-2016

Last date for receiving applications and issue of admit cards (with additional late fees of Rs. 1000/-) - 29-04-2016

GCET 2016 Date:-

Subject - Day & Date - Time

Physics - Tuesday, 10.05.16 - 10.00 to 12.00 hrs.

Chemistry - Tuesday, 10.05.16 - 14.00 to 16.00 hrs.

Mathematics - Wednesday, 11.05.16 - 10.00 to 12.00 hrs.

Biology - Wednesday, 11.05.16 - 14.00 to 16.00 hrs.

Expected date of result of GCET - 18- 05- 2016.

The GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) is a state level entrance examination organized by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa.


Eligibility Criteria

For homeopathy, AHS courses: applicants must have passed 12th or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English subjects.
Candidates must have secured 50% marks in PCB group for general candidates, 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates and 45% for PH candidates.

For engineering courses: candidates must have cleared 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following subjects Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/Biology.

Aspirants should have scored at least 45% marks in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following subjects Chemistry/ Biotechnology / Computer Science/Biology for general category and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC categories.

Examination Pattern


Type of Question: The question paper will contain objective type questions with multiple optional answers for each question.

Pattern: The question paper will be asked in OMR pattern.

No. of Question & Duration: Each paper will consist of 75 questions to be answered in two hours.

Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for each correct answer.
Negative Marking: There is not any provision of negative marking for wrong answers or multiple answers.
