Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa conducts Goa Common Entrance Test GCET exam for admission to Professional Courses in the State of Goa.

GCET 2016 Entrance Exam Date

Physics: 10th May 2016 (Tuesday, 10.00 to 12.00 hrs) - Duration: 2 Hrs
Chemistry: 10th May 2016 (Thursday, 14.00 to 16.00 hrs) - Duration: 2 Hrs
Mathematics: 11th May 2016 (Wednesday, 10.00 to 12.00 hrs) - Duration: 2 Hrs
Biology: 11th May 2016 (Wednesday, 14.00 to 16.00 hrs) - Duration: 2 Hrs

GCET Exam Pattern

The exam will consist of four papers as physics, mathematics, chemistry and biology

Each paper will consist of 75 (Seventy Five) questions

The duration of the exam is two hours (One hundred & twenty minutes)

Correct answer shall carry one mark for each question.

There will be no negative marking for wrong/multiple answers

The examination will be in English language only

The questions will be composed from the 11th & 12th syllabus prescribed by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education

Selection Process

The selection will be made through the counselling process

The candidates will be ranked as per their individual score in GCET result 2016 and called for counselling

After the successful processing of counselling, the candidates will be allotted the institutions and seat as per their ranks
