Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa conducts Goa Common Entrance Test GCET exam for admission to Professional Courses in the State of Goa. GCET 2016 Entrance Exam Date Physics: 10th May 2016 (Tuesday, 10.00 to 12.00 hrs) - Duration: 2 Hrs Chemistry: 10th May 2016 (Thursday, 14.00 to 16.00 hrs) - Duration: 2 Hrs Mathematics: 11th May 2016 (Wednesday, 10.00 to 12.00 hrs) - Duration: 2 Hrs Biology: 11th May 2016 (Wednesday, 14.00 to 16.00 hrs) - Duration: 2 Hrs Important dates- Start of Receiving of Application Forms for GCET-16 (Form A) at Reception Centre: 28th March 2016 Last Date for Receiving Forms for GCET-16 (Form A) at Reception Centre & Collecting Admit Cards: 02nd April 2016 Last Date for Receiving of GCET-2016 (Form A) at DTE & Collecting Admit Cards (with late fees Rs.1000/-): 29th April 2016 Dates of GCET-2016: 10th May to 11th May 2016 (Tuesday to Wednesday) Expected Date of Result of GCET: 18th May 2016 Start of receiving of application forms for Admission (Form B/B1) at notified location: 19th May 2016 Last date for receiving forms for Admission (Form B/B1) at notified location: 27th May 2016 Display of Eligibility List at Admission Centre: 07th June 2016 Last date for compliance with deficiencies in eligibility: 09th June 2016 Display of Provisional Merit List at Admission Centre: 13th June 2016 Display of Final Merit List at Admission Centre: 15th June 2016 First Round of Admission: 16th Jun to 24th June 2016 Second Round of Admission: 18th Jul to 21st July 2016 Extra Round of Admission due to unexpected circumstances (if required): As notified in news papers Special Round of Admission to fill vacant seats (if any) in MBBS/BDS Courses: 30th September 2016 GCET Exam Pattern The exam will consist of four papers as physics, mathematics, chemistry and biology Each paper will consist of 75 (Seventy Five) questions The duration of the exam is two hours (One hundred & twenty minutes) Correct answer shall carry one mark for each question. There will be no negative marking for wrong/multiple answers The examination will be in English language only The questions will be composed from the 11th & 12th syllabus prescribed by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Selection Process The selection will be made through the counselling process The candidates will be ranked as per their individual score in GCET result 2016 and called for counselling After the successful processing of counselling, the candidates will be allotted the institutions and seat as per their ranks |
