Centre of Studies in Resources Engineering was established in IIT Bombay in 1976.

It has grown into one of the premier centres in the country working in the frontier area of Geo-informatics and Natural Resources Engineering.

On satellite image georeferencing, enhancement and filtering, transformations, classification and accuracy assessment and applications Laboratory sessions involving use of state-of-the-art GIS and image processing software to get familiarized with handling and analyzing spatial datasets including satellite images Reading and discussing papers/reports on image processing / GIS / applications.
