Re: German Classes EFL

The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, was established in 1958 as the Central Institute of English (CIE). Offering shape to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's (India's first Prime Minister) vision to set up an organization to confer quality preparing in English for instructors, the command of the University is to progress and disperse "instructional, examination and augmentation offices in the educating of English and Foreign Languages and Literatures in India" and also "to take suitable measures for interdisciplinary studies and research in abstract and social studies, and to create basic intercultural comprehension of civic establishments."

Steadily the Institute expanded the extent of its objectives, viz., to enhance the standard of English Teaching; to embrace important research; and to distribute materials, to remote dialects. It was accordingly renamed the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL) in 1972 with the expansion of three noteworthy outside dialects – German, Russian and French.
