I want to admit my child in Global Indian International School, San Jose, CA so can you please tell me the criteria for admission in the school?

Global Indian International School is located in Singapore not in San Jose, CA.

Global Indian International School, Singapore (GIIS) was established on 11 November. It was the first Indian international school in Singapore. There are three campuses across Singapore.

Admission Criteria

The final decision on class allotment will depend upon a combination of Age Criteria, Aptitude Test results and previous school educational records.

Global Montessori Plus - Nursery
Age - 2.5 years and above
Aptitude Test Type - Interaction Session
Standard Guidelines -Child can be admitted to Nursery on completion of 2.5 years.

Global Montessori Plus - K1
Age - 3 years and above before 31st March
Aptitude Test Type -Interaction Session
Standard Guidelines -Child can be admitted to K1 on completion of 3 years.

Global Montessori Plus - K2
Age - 4 years and above before 31st March
Aptitude Test Type - Interaction Session and a reading /writing assignment
Standard Guidelines -If the child has completed K1, he can be admitted to K2, provided he meets the age criteria.

Classes 1 to 5
Age - 5 years and above before 31st March
Progress 1 year for each class thereon
Aptitude Test Type -Written Test
Standard Guidelines -Pass certificate of previous class.
Assess test performance.

Classes 6 to 8
Age - 10 years and above before 31st March.
Progress 1 year for each class thereon.
Aptitude Test Type -Written Test
Standard Guidelines -Pass certificate of previous class.
Review previous school results.
Assess test performance.

Class 9
Age - 13 years and above before 31st March
Aptitude Test Type -Written Test
Standard Guidelines -Pass certificate of previous class.
Review previous school results.
Assess test performance.

Class 10
Age - 14 years and above before 31st March
Aptitude Test Type -Written Test
Standard Guidelines -Pass certificate of previous class.
Review previous school results.
Assess test performance.

Classes 11 and 12 and IB Diploma Year 1
Age - 15 years and above before 31st March
Aptitude Test Type -Written Test
Standard Guidelines -Pass certificate of previous class.
For advance admission, prelim marks are considered.
For children coming from local system schools, the L1R4 score is considered.
