The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT (/ˈdʒiːmæt/ (JEE-mat))) is a computer adaptive test (CAT) intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA. Section Duration in minutes Number of questions Analytical writing assessment 30 N/A Integrated reasoning 30 12 Quantitative 75 37 Verbal 75 41 About the GMAT Score Breakdown : There are three sections to the GMAT (see GMAT Format). for each section, you receive a sub-score (e.g., you may score a 4 on the AWA, 37 on the verbal section, and 40 on the quantitative section). The combination of your quantitative and verbal scores determines your scaled score, which is given on a scale of 200-800 and is not influenced by the AWA score.
