Grade Of Tezpur University
Hey Buddy, I want to know the Grading System in Tezpur University so will you please tell me? The Tezpur University follows semester system. Academic year starts from 1st August. Each academic programme is so designed as to provide enough flexibility in the choice of courses that the students would like to take. Besides the compulsory (Core) courses for each of the programmes, the students also have the option to choose courses of own interest from the Elective lists Grading System Tezpur University follows a relative letter-grading system as given below: Grade Grade points Description of Performance A+ 10 Outstanding A 9 Excellent B+ 8 Very Good B 7 Good C+ 6 Average C 5 Below Average D 4 Marginal E 2 Poor F 0 Very Poor I Incomplete AP Audit Pass AF Audit Fail W Withdrawn X Continued Project Performance of a student is reflected by two indices viz. Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) which is the grade point average for a particular semester and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is the weighted average of all the SGPAs of any particular academic programme. A CGPA of 5.0 and above but less than 6.5 is considered as 2nd class. A CGPA of 6.5 and above but less than 8.5 is considered as 1st class, while a CGPA of 8.5 and above is considered as 1st class with distinction. Minimum Academic Requirement- The minimum academic requirement for progress to the next semester of a programme is a CGPA of at least 4.0 at the end of every semester. The students who fail to maintain the minimum academic requirement at the end of a semester will not be allowed to enroll in the next semester.
