Re: Grading System in School Exams

The grading system in India was introduced in 2008-09 from class I-VIII, reducing the exam stress. Extending the concept to class IX and X has further reduced the pressure, giving students an opportunity to explore other avenues.

Most Common Grading Scales:
Grade Scale Grade Description
A+ 90.00 - 100.00 Distinction
A 80.00 - 89.99 Distinction
A- 70.00 - 79.99
B+ 60.00 - 69.99 First Class
B 50.00 - 59.99 Second Class
B- 45.00 - 49.99
C+ 40.00 - 44.99 Third Class
C 32.00 - 39.99 Third Class
F 0.00 - 31.99 Fail

Letter grade

AA 10 Outstanding
A+ 10 Outstanding
AB 9.00 - 9.99 Excellent
A 9.00 - 9.99 Excellent
BB 8.00 - 8.99 Very Good
