Gravitation IIT JEE
I am preparing for the IIT JEE entrance exam. I am not doing the coaching because my financial condition is not good. There is Gravitation chapter in physics and I am facing some problem to solve the numerical questions of It. Can you please share the video lectures of the Gravitation chapter deliver by the Aakash iTutor for IIT JEE entrance exam? Ok, I am providing you the sample questions of Gravitation for IIT Joint Entrance Exam JEE Exam JEE Exam Gravitation questions 1.If an artificial satellite is moving in a circular orbit around the earth with a speed equal to half the magnitude of the escape velocity from the earth, the height of the satellite above the surface of the earth is: 2R R/2 R R/4 2.The time period of a simple pendulum at the centre of earth is: zero infinite less than zero none of these 3.A satellite is orbiting very close to planet. Its time period depends only upon: density of the planet mass of the planet radius of the planet mass of the satellite 4.The minimum energy required to launch a m kg satellite from earths surface in a circular orbit at an altitude of 2R where R is the radius of earth, will be: 3mgR 5/6 mgR 2mgR 1/5mgR 5.If suddenly the gravitational force of attraction between earth and a satellite revolving around it becomes zero, then the satellite will: continue to move in its orbit with same velocity move tangentially to the original orbit with the same velocity become stationary in its orbit move towards the earth 6.Mark correct option or options. Only equatorial orbit are stable for a satellite Escape velocity does not depend upon angle of projection A communication satellite rotates in a direction from west to east All of the above 7.A particle hanging from a massless spring stretches it by 2 cm at earths surface. How much will the same particle stretch the spring at height 2624 km from the surface of earth? (Radius of earth = 6400 km) 1 cm 2 cm 3 cm 4 cm 8.The gravitational potential difference between the surface of a planet and a point 20 m above it is 16 J/kg. Then the work done in moving a 2 kg mass by 8 m on a slope 60 degree from the horizontal, is: 11.1 J 5.55 J 16 J 27.7 J 9.A satellite is launched into a circular orbit of radius R around the earth. A second satellite is launched into an orbit of radius 1.01R. The time period of the second satellite is larger than that of the first one by approximately: 0.5% 1.5% 1% 3.0% 10.Two spherical bodies the mass M and 5M and radii R and 2R respectively are released in free space with initial separation between their centres equal to 12 R. If they attract each other due to gravitational force only, then the distance covered by the smaller body just before collision is: 2.5 R 4.5 R 7.5 R 1.5 R 11.If the radius of earth decreases by 10%, the mass remaining unchanged, what will happen to the acceleration due to gravity? Decreases by 19% Increases by 19% Decreases by more than 19% Increases by more than 19% 12.Average density of the earth: does not depend on g is a complex function of g is directly proportional to g is inversely proportional to g 13.In the above question, if the satellite is stopped suddenly in its orbit and allowed to fall freely onto the earth, the speed with which it hits the surface of the earth is: (Assume g = 10 m/second square and R = 6400 km) 4 km/s 8 km/s 2 km/s 6 km/s 14.If the distance between the two particles is increased by 2%, then the force of attraction between them will: decrease by 6% decrease by 4% increase by 4% increase by 6% 15.How the gravitational constant will change if a brass plate is introduced between two bodies? No change Decreases Increases No sufficient data Last edited by Neelurk; April 28th, 2020 at 12:37 PM. |
