I have taken admission in B.Arch Course at Hindustan College of Engineering - Hindustan University so please give me detailed information about Housing & Dining at Hindustan University including General Hostel Rules and Regulations?

Hindustan University has separate hostels for boys and girls with well furnished rooms and modern amenities. The hostels have well-furnished air-conditioned and regular rooms with attached rest rooms providing the right ambience for the students.
All the hostels offer a variety of services and opportunities for students.

There are 7 hostels within the campus catering to the needs of the students. It is managed by

Girls Hostel
• Kasturba Hostel on triple sharing basis with option for bath attached AC rooms/triple rooms.
• Susan Hostel for AC rooms with bath attached on double sharing basis/triple/ quadruple in a room with option for bath attached.
• Bethany Hall AC/Non-AC bath attached room category.

Boys Hostel
• Venus Hostel with an option for double AC room/triple/ quadruple in a room on sharing basis.
• Gemini Hostel with an option for AC rooms with bath attached on double sharing basis/triple rooms.
• Galaxy Hostel with an option for double bath–attached AC rooms/triple rooms/dormitory with eight beds.
• Philip Hall with dormitory bath attached room category Green Bay Hostel with Non-AC bath attached & Dormitory room category.

General Hostel Rules and Regulations

• Every day, attendance is taken at 6.30 p.m. in the evening in the respective rooms of students. One is not allowed to go out of hostel/room after attendance.
• One is expected to behave with dignity and decency.
• One is not permitted to stay in hostel during college hours without prior permission.
• Day scholars are not permitted into the hostel for any reason.
• For leaving the hostel/campus for outings, all procedures should be followed, like gate pass/entries in the registers/Wardens' permission etc. should be obtained from the respective officials. On outing days, one needs to return to the campus by 5.30 p.m.
• Church visit is allowed every Sunday with prior permission.
• Visitors are not allowed during week days.
• Sitting, chatting, sleeping in another room is not permitted among hostel students.
• Visitors’ days are Saturdays and Sundays between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m.
• Study hours are from 8.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. During the study hours room front door should not be locked. Students should maintain strict silence during study hours and thereafter up to 8.30 a.m.
• One should follow the mess timings strictly.

Any violation of these rules will be viewed seriously and strict action will be taken accordingly.
