Stenography is the technique implemented for writing in shorthand.

Those who have completed the varied courses in Stenography can become Stenographers.

Steps for How to Become A Stenographer in India
Step 1:

Candidate has to pass 10+2 class exam.
Some institute requires graduation in any field.

You can also join ITI – Industrial Training Institute after 10th class.
Here you can complete one year course of stenographer in any regional language.

You can also take admission in any diploma courses.

You can also join private courses.

After completion of any of above course you get certificate from that institute.

Step 2
After completion of this course, you can join any private sector.

In private sector you can join advocate, doctor, secretaries of any famous personality.

If you want to join government sector then you have to apply for the post of stenographer.

The requirement are published by Staff selection commission or UPSC or any other government sector or banking sector.
You have to clear entrance exam of that particular department.

Salary of Stenographer
In government sector you can get starting salary of 10000 Rs/-

in private sector candidate get 12000 to 15000 per month.
