Re: How to Prepare MBA
MBA stands for Master of Business Administration, which is the most sorted after master's degree in business administration. The various areas of business are introduced to the students in the MBA program such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operation management etc. If you plan to get a MBA degree from the very beginning then it is preferable to get into a bachelor's course which has at least one of the business subjects. It becomes an advantage. Although doing bachelors in a business subject is not a compulsion. One can not predict the question pattern in the MBA entrance but the pattern of the marks obtain can surely be guessed. A sum of 60-65 in each of the three sections will surely get you good institutions. It is very important to appear for mock tests. It helps you understand the paper type and enables you realize your weaknesses and strengths so that you can improve. Once you've started appearing for the mock tests, note down your mistakes and make sure that you don't repeat them. In order to avoid them practice more. Do not plan aimless study sessions. Set a goal before you sit down to prepare. For instance, you've decide to study for 3 hours so you should know what you wish to achieve at the end of your session. For the preparation of MBA you should keep in mind that studying strategically is what makes a difference between the ones who make it to the IIMs and others. So don't underestimate any section and distribute equal time to each and practice. Only a lot of practice will enable you to identify the question. Once you identify the question type it'll become easy for you to answer/solve it. Don't consider any type of question unimportant while practicing because doing well in only one section won't help you clear the cut-offs and won't get you to good colleges. The MBA entrance is not looking for your knowledge of any particular subject but it evaluates you on your overall ability. So better pay attention on the basic abilities such as, language, logical reasoning etc. Also don't forget to time yourself while practicing because with polishing of your abilities time management also needs to be taken care of.
