IIM or Indian Institute of Management in Ranchi organized its 2nd two day annual HR Conclave on 21st September 2012 themed ‘Turning the Tide on Unrest in Workforce’. It focused on the role of HR manager in turning the tide.

The conclave aims to ensure a discussion on the changing dynamics of HR management and increasing unrest in the workforce.

The first session of the conclave, chaired by Mr. Allen Sequeria, Advisor, Mahindra and Mahindra, discussed at length the various factors leading to difference in workforce and how HR managers play an important role in solving the problem.

The second session was chaired by Ms. Padmaja Alaganandan, Executive Director, PwC, who tinted the fact that in a network with high growth inequitable distribution of wealth will always lead to conflict in employees

The conclave also showcased the various videos which it had received as entries to a nation-wide video making competition. The theme of the competition was “Work life balance” and saw participation from various B-schools across the country.
