The HSEE is an Entrance Examination taken by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences for Admission into the undergraduate and postgraduate Courses of the humanities and social science

Eligibility Criteria :

one may be Completed His Higher Secondary Education wirh an Recognized board or university or

Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects

Percentage Criteria:

The candidates belonging to the general category and OBC category must secure a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the QE.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories must secure a minimum of 55% marks


Pattern of the Examination :

HSEE Entrance test Consist of two parts :

Part I covers the following topics:
(i) English and Comprehension Skill;
(ii) Analytical and Quantitative Ability;
(iii) General Studies covering the areas of Indian Economics (sinceIndependence), Indian Society, Contemporary World Affairs (post-World War II); and
(iv) Environment and Ecology.

Part II requires the candidate to write an essay on general topic involving description, or/and reflection or/and discussion.

Duration of the paper :

the Duration of the part first is 2½ hours duration (150 Minutes),

the Duration of part II Examination is half an hour
