IARI Regional Station Pusa is arranged in Samastipur district of Bihar in the U molded southwestern lap of waterway Burhi Gandak

In 1902 arrangement mooted for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Educational Institution and Agricultural Institute at Pusa. On 26 December 1903, Government of India, assumed control over all grounds from Bengal Government and with the gift of 30,000 pounds by Mr. Hennry Phipps, a US national, Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) was set up at Pusa.

On first April 2004 establishment of Agricultural Research Institute was laid by Lord Curzon, the Viceroy and representative General of India. The primary building was prevalently called as Phipps lab or Naulakha.

A little unit called Botanical sub-station was left over at pusa, Bihar and in 1969, Botanical sub-station renamed as Regional Research Station and in 1975, Regional Research Station overhauled as IARI Regional Station, Pusa, Bihar.

Advancement of high yielding assortments of wheat, maize and pigeon pea under asset limitation conditions in the north.

Fill in as a national community for screening and improvement of wheat assortments impervious to foliar infections which have turned into a noteworthy risk to wheat creation in the nation.

Generation of nucleas, reproducer and IARI seed of IARI wheat, maize, pigeonpea and papaya assortments.
