As you want I am here telling you about the Selection Procedure for IAS Entrance Exam. IAS Entrance Exam have three phases . 1. Preliminary Examination 2. Main examination: 3. Personal Interview Indian Administrative Services Examination Test Paper Pattern : Exam pattern of Preliminary Examination: The examination consists of two papers including Paper I is general studies and Paper II,which is one of the optional subjects. The optional subjects are Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Geography, Geology, Indian History, Law, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Statistics and Zoology. Both question papers are of objective type. Mode of question papers is English and Hindi both. Duration of both papers is 2 hours. Exam pattern of main examination: The question papers for the examination are of conventional (essay) type. Duration of each paper is three hours. It consists of one of the Indian languages, English, Essay and any two optional subjects. Optional subjects are Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce and Accountancy, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Geography, Geology, History, Law, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Statistics and Zoology. Mode of question papers is English and Hindi both except language papers. Personal Interview: Selected candidates, who successfully qualify in both preliminary and main examination, are called for personal interview Eligibility criteria: Education: Graduation in any stream from a recognized university. Age Limit: 21-30 years (GEN category students) 21-33 years (OBC - Non Creamy layer category students) 21-35 years (Sc/ST/PH category students) Nationality : Indian national are eligible . |
