IBPS SO Salary 2017 – Emoluments and Calculation

Emoluments Meaning
Basic Pay
Basic pay is same irrespective of the city of appointment. It is INR 23700 w.e.f. from June 1 2015.

Dearness Allowance (DA)
As per the latest CPI released by the gov. the DA amount is INR 8605.88.

HRA
This is paid @ 9.0% or 8.0% or 7.0% depending on the place of posting.

CCA
This is paid @ 4%, 3% or 0% depending on the place of posting.

Special Allowance
For scale I it is paid @ rate of 7.75%

Perquisites
(Conveyance, Newspapers, Entertainment allowance, House & Furniture Maintenance etc. 4,130)

Leased accommodation
Up to Rs 29500, this is provided in lieu of HRA.

IBPS Specialist Officer Benefits and Perks

Dearness Allowance:

DA or Dearness Allowance is a cost of living adjustment paid to all government employees.
It is calculated as the percentage of an Indian citizen’s basic salary to lessen the impact of inflation in the economy on an individual.

House Rent Allowance:
HRA is the allowance paid to an employee to pay his/her house rent or expenses towards accommodation.
If a salaried employee lives in own house and does not pay any rent, cannot claim Hrs, but it is always included as a part of the basic salary structure.

Travel Allowance:
Travel Allowance is the amount paid by the employer to an employee on account of expenses made on travel for office purposes.
The explanation of travel expenses include to and fro from office to home and vice versa also any travelling done on account of office work.

Provident Fund:
Provident Fund or PF is contributed by both employee and employer.
Both contribute an equal amount which is deposited every month to the PF account maintained by the government.
The employee can withdraw the amount when leaves an organization or continue with the same account when he joins another organization. When an employee retires the entire amount in the PF account can be withdrawn.

Medical Facilities:
All employees enjoy medical benefits on account of employer.
These medical benefits include payment or medical expenses if incurred or health and medical insurance.

Bonus:
Bonus is an extra amount paid to all the employees.
This can be on account of festivals or performance based.

Other Benefits:
Bank employees enjoy a number of other benefits apart from the ones mentioned above.
These benefits include lower interest rates on loans, easy and fast loan approval, etc.
