IES CSE exam conducted by UPSC
Hello sir I am computer science engineer and want to appear in IES exam conducted by the UPSC so please provide me information about that is I eligible for this exam..?

Yes computer science engineering graduates can also apply for IES (Indian Engineering Services) Exam. For IES you need B.Tech in any stream from recognized college or university with any percentage. Stream of IES You have to write IES exam in any one stream from the following lists: Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Civil Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering But keep in mind that you can attempt paper only in these four branches of engineering. So you will have to work hard in order to appear for the examination as you have to appear for different branch papers. However you may take Electronics & Telecommunications as your branch paper as most of the papers are similar. Eligibility for IES Exam The candidate should have degree in engineering from university recognized by UGC. That's why engineers of all the discipline are eligible for IES Exam. - The age of candidate should be minimum of 21 years and maximum of 30 years to appear for the Exam. - The candidate should be Indian - A candidate can appear for a maximum of 4 times. - Reservation is applicable. Scheme of Examination Written Examination Paper I (Objective type) General Ability Test 200 marks (Part A: General English) (Part B: General Studies) Papers II & III (Objective type) Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Tele- Communication Engineering 200 Marks for each paper Papers IV & V(Conventional Type) Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering 200 Marks for each paper Total marks for written Examination 1000 Marks Personality Test 200 Marks |
