IES Exam Pattern for IT
I want to apply for the IES (Indian Engineering Service) exam and want the detail about this exam. Can you tell me what the IES exam pattern for IT students and tell me syllabus of IES exam and also provide me sample question paper of the IES exam for IT? No, B Tech IT (Information Technology) holder can apply for IES/ Indian Engineering Services (ESE) Examination. Indian Engineering Services (ESE) is conducted annually by UPSC to recruit engineers in four domains i.e. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics & Telecommunications for the techno -managerial posts. The examination constitutes a two-stage written examination followed by an interview. After the final selection, one is posted in various Ministries and Departments of Government of India such as Railways, Telecom, Border Roads, CPWD, CWC, CPES, NHAI, Naval Armaments, IDSE, MES, and Ordnance Factories etc. IES Exam Pattern Stage-I: Preliminary Examination (Objective Papers) STAGE-I PAPER TYPE DURATION MARKS PAPER-I GENERAL STUDIES AND ENGINEERING APTITUDE 02 HOURS 200 PAPER-II ENGINEERING DISCIPLINE 03 HOURS 300 (CE/ ME/EE/E&T) TOTAL MARKS 500 One qualifying at this Stage is permitted to appear for Stage - II exam. Stage-II: Mains Examination (Conventional Papers) STAGE-II PAPER TYPE DURATION MARKS PAPER-I ENGINEERING DISCIPLINE-I 03 HOURS 300 (CE/ ME/EE/E&T) PAPER-II ENGINEERING DISCIPLINE-II 03 HOURS 300 (CE/ ME/EE/E&T) TOTAL MARKS (MAINS) 600 TOTAL MARKS (MAINS + PRELIMS) 1100 One qualifying at the stage (i.e. Stage - I + Stage - II) is selected for Stage III which is the Personality Test (Interview).
