I would like to tell you that the MBA entrance examination of IGNOU is known as “OPENMAT” which is an entrance exam for MBA and other Management courses by IGNOU which is conducted twice every year.

The upcoming exam is OPENMAT XXXVII and is scheduled to be conducted on 1st February 2015. The previous one was conducted on 17th August 2014.

So here in response of your question I am enlisting the various necessary details about this examination:

Exam Application Form Last Dates

Let me tell you that to attend the OPENMAT entrance exam you should submit the exam forms on or before the last date at IGNOU HQ via post or in person.

Your application form would be rejected by IGNOU if your application reaches IGNOU HQ after the last date for submission of filled application forms.

The dates are as follows:

OPENMAT XXXVII: 15th December 2015

OPENMAT Exam Dates

OPENMAT exams are usually conducted on February and August every year. The exams are usually scheduled to be conducted on Sundays which makes it convenient for you to attend the exam.

Admission Dates

After the OPENMAT results are published on IGNOU website, if you are qualified in the exam by scoring cut off mark or above and also meet the eligibility requirements, you can apply for admission.

You will be granted admission if you submit the application forms on or before the last date.

Here I would like tio provide you with some of the syllabus of this examination:

I must mention this that “OPENMAT” exams usually have the same pattern every year.

There will be a total of 200 Multiple Choice Questions which you will have to complete in 3 hours time.

The questions are divided into following four sections.

A. General Awareness : 30 Questions

B. English Language: 50 Questions

C. Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Questions

D. Reasoning: 70 Questions
