Re: IIIT Hyderabad EERC
More than 60% of the India's landmass is presented to tremor peril. Quake considers have obtained energy, especially after the most sad seismic tremors like Uttarkashi 1991 (M=6.5), Latur 1993 (M=6.4), Jabalpur 1997 (M=6.0), Chamoli 1999 (M = 6.8), Bhuj 2001 (M= 7.6) and Kashmir 2005 (M=7.4). From that point onward, seismic peril evaluation and danger investigations, overhauling the seismic zonation maps and designing seismology have increased higher need in seismological examination. Understanding the crustal structure and tremor procedures and estimation of repeat interim are other need regions of exploration.
