ABOUT:

The Institute provides financial aid to students apart from scholarships from the Central Government and various State Governments; industry scholarships; and alumni.

The criteria to apply for financial aid is given to all students whose annual household income is below Rs 450,000 as well as to those with severe finance shortage arising from sudden unforeseen circumstances

Criteria:

The Financial Aid Committee has a process to decide on the number of awardees and the quantum of aid.
the applicants are rated based on the following criteria – income (family income + personal income before joining IIMB), property, savings and outstanding loans Based on this rating, some of the applicants are called for a personal interaction with faculty panels. During these int, faculty panels check each applicant’s liquidity, credit-worthiness, and affluence; and arrive at a rank order of candidates. Based on the weighted average scores of these parameters, applicants are provided 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, 20% or no aid.

Effective from July 2015
Applicable to all that students who are currently eligible for financial aid.

An FPM student receives a stipend of Rs 3,51,600/- per annum, in addition to tuition fee, to cover living and other expenses

Hostel rooms are provided, for free, for those students who are eligible for financial aid. Those who stay outside campus will get an additional payment of Rs. 8,500 (single students) or Rs. 13,000 (married students) per month as non-residential subsidy

An FPM student is required to provide Teaching and Research Assistance work of 10 hours a week

A start-up grant (Year 1) of Rs. 75,000/- is available for an FPM student to meet expenses on purchasing hardware, software, data base and for purchase of books, which can be reimbursed
