The IISc Gymkhana is the games and culture centre for the workforce and understudies of our prestigious, extremely old Institute. The Institute notwithstanding being the home for a portion of the brightest personalities of the nation likewise has countless, performing artists, artists, specialists and sportspersons who have spoken to themselves and the Institute at different levels.

The Gymkhana is spread over an endless territory of 26 sections of land in an extremely picturesque part of the grounds. At present, there are 27 clubs (games and culture) dynamic in the Gymkhana. The IISc Gymkhana is as of now managed by Prof. R. V. Ravikrishna as President, Prof. D. Ambedkar as Associate President, and Mr. C. P. Poonacha as the Senior Sports Officer.

The Gymkhana organization is bolstered by the Gymkhana Student Affairs Committee (GSAC) whose part is to co-ordinate the different club exercises and interface between the understudies and the Gymkhana organization. Moreover, every club of the Gymkhana has an agent who is assigned as the Club Convener. The GSAC individuals are chosen every year from among the understudies of IISc.

For the year 2015-16, the post of General Secretary has been designated to Vikram Pal Singh. Varun Raturi has taken the post of Sports Secretary alongside Sagar Gupta as the Cultural Secretary. The GSAC moreover comprises of Core individuals: Harsha Vajjarapu, Sandeep Mishra,Vikas Jangid and Somarupa Sahoo (Lady Member).

The IISc Gymkhana arranges and sorts out different occasions during the time to keep up the earth of fun, solidarity and confidence in the Institute. A portion of the occasions sorted out by the Gymkhana incorporate the Independence Day Run, Republic Day Run, and an once-a-year occasion showcasing the games and social exercises of the clubs of the Gymkhana.
