Intellectual Property Rights (I.P.R) are the Legal Rights Governing the use of creations of the human minds like inventions, designs, or other intangibles in their expressed form.

These rights are statutory rights governed in accordance with the provisions of corresponding legislations.

The term intellectual property refers to creation of mind or the intellect, and that IP rights may be protected at law in the same way as any other form of property.

They usually give the creator an exclusive right over the use of his/her creations for a certain period of time.
