Hello sir, will you please provide me name of medallist candidates in IIST first convocation which was organised on 28th June 2012?

The IIST was organised its first convocation in 2012 for 2009 batch students. The convocation of the 2009 batch students of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Valiyamala, was held on 28th June 2012 at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC).

The BTech degree is conferred upon 145 students of whom 49 have graduated in Aerospace Engineering, 64 in Avionics and 32 in Physical Science.

MTech Degree is conferred on eight students and PhD on seven students, IIST officials said.

Former President A P J Abdul Kalam, who is Chancellor, IIST; ISRO Chairman A S Kiran Kumar and Prof Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, will attend the function.

Also present will be M Chandradathan, director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre and IIST director K S Dasgupta.

Five gold medals are presented on the occasion. The best academic performer wins The Chairman, Board of Management Gold Medal
