Details of IIT and AIPMT

Eligibility for IIT

The student who have passed in final examination of +2 (Class XII) or its equivalent qualifying examination in the year 2014 or 2015 or Those appearing in +2 in 2016 are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2016.

Qualifying Examinations for JEE Main

The +2 level examinations in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.

Number of Allowed attempts:

• A candidate can avail a maximum of 3 attempts.

Other Criteria:

• JEE (Main) Merit List for NITs, IIITs & CFTIs will be announced based on: 40% of XII Board (Normalised) + 60% of JEE (Main)

• JEE (Advanced) Merit List for IITs will be announced on the basis of

a. Merit list prepared based on Marks of JEE (Advanced)

b. All students to be in top 20 percentile of their class XII exams (Mandatory)

JEE Main Exam Pattern

JEE Main comprises of two papers:

Paper 1: For Engineering courses (Candidates can opt for a Online Test OR Offline Test)

Paper 2: For Architecture/Planning courses (Available only as Pen & Paper Based Test)

AIPMT Exam

AIPMT Eligibility – Age Limit (Eligibility for 15% All India Quota Seats)

He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination.
