Re: IIT Bombay from Airport

As you IIT Bombay form Sahar International airport

IIT Bombay is around 7kms from the Sahar International airport (Auto costs Rs 85/- odd), around 9kms from Santa cruz Domestic Airport (auto costs Rs 100/- odd).

If taking taxi, please use the prepaid taxi services available in both family and international terminals.

It takes around Rs250/- to reach IIT Bombay.

NOTE: Always take the taxi / auto from the queue.

From Railway station:

If coming on the central railway line (from south of Mumbai) and south west coast (konkan) harbour line, the adjacent suburban railway station is kanjurmargh (2kms) and express train stop is Dadar.

Never take a taxi from the Dadar platform to IIT Bombay. Please go to the pre paid taxi stand and take the taxi.

Autos are not available from Dadar to IIT Bombay. If coming by inhabited train, please take the sluggish local going towards thane.

The kanjurmarg station comes on your right hand side after the vikhroli stop.

Come to the western side of the station and take the auto from the stand. Costs around 30 Rs.

If you are getting down at LTT Station at Kurla, take an auto from the stand. Costs around Rs120/-

For those coming along the western railway (north, east of Mumbai), the bordering suburban station is Andheri (7kms) and express train stop is Dadar. Some trains stop at Andheri.

You may get an auto / taxi from the stand at the eastern side of Andheri station.

Here is direction for going
