The Department of Energy Science and Engineering (DESE) concentrates on research and instruction for the improvement of economical vitality frameworks for what's to come. The Department is a special mix of science and designing for the Energy part.

DESE offers a variety of scholastic projects:

Dual Degree - B. Tech - M. Tech Programme (5 Years, admission through JEE)

Dual Degree - M. Sc. - Ph. D. (admission through JAM)

M. Tech in Energy Systems Engineering (2 years)

Ph. D.

Minor in Energy Engineering

The Department as of now has 21 center employees and 480 understudies (counting 140 PhD understudies) and a few related staff from different offices. DESE is home to the National Center for Photovoltaic Research and Education (NCPRE) with top of the line explore offices from characterisation, manufacture to gadget testing for Solar Photovoltaics.

DESE has a few industry cooperations including industry supported labs like the Forbes Marshall Energy Efficiency Laboratory and the Cummins Engine Research Facilities. Universal coordinated efforts incorporate the SERIIUS, Indo-UK, Indo-Dutch, BIRD, IMASE, and so on to give some examples.
