Re: Is IIT Bombay Good
IIT Bombay was founded in 1958 and was the second IIT established with assistance from UNESCO and with funds contributed by the Soviet Union. UNESCO agreed to provide equipment and technical experts mainly from the Soviet Union, while the Government of India accepted the responsibility for all other expenses including the cost of the building project and recurring expenses. Yes, off course, IITB or Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is a good institute to pursue B Tech as: Internationally, IIT Bombay is ranked overall 202 globally and 35th among Asian institutes in the QS World University Rankings for 2015. It featured in top 400 in the ranking by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings of 2015-16. In India, among engineering colleges, it was ranked second by Outlook India in 2015. Among universities in India, it ranks second in Careers360 Top Universities in India 2016. Amongst government engineering colleges, it was first by Mint in 2009. It is ranked 2 in National Institutional Ranking Framework published by Ministry of Human Resource Development in April 2016. Academic Divisions Departments 1. Aerospace Engineering 2.
