The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is a public engineering institution located in Powai, Mumbai, India. It is the second-oldest institute of the Indian Institutes of Technology system. IIT Bombay was established in 1958. HYPERSPECTRA Training program- HYPERSPECTRA Training program is offered by the Department of Earth Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay This course is designed to give complete understanding and practical exposure on various aspects of hyperspectral remote sensing in the visible through thermal regions. Key components of the curriculum includes: Basics of reflection and emission spectroscopy Field training for (reflectance and emission) spectral acquisition Exhaustive theory and lab sessions on image calibration, correction and processing procedures Guided tutorials Case studies This course is tailor made for practicing remote sensing scientists / engineers, policy makers, academicians and students working in the fields of geology, mineral exploration, planetary science, and military intelligence. Eligibility – Good working knowledge in multi-spectral remote sensing and digital image processing skills are required. Exposure to mathematics and Matlab programming will be advantageous.
