IIT Bombay is located at Powai, which is a Eastern Suburb in the north-eastern part of Mumbai. Mumbai is a long narrow island, thrusting southwards into the Arabian Sea

IIT Bombay is around 7kms from the Sahar International airport (Auto costs Rs 85/- odd), around 9kms from Santa cruz Domestic Airport (auto costs Rs 100/- odd).

If taking taxi, please use the prepaid taxi services available in both domestic and international terminals. It takes around Rs250/- to reach IIT Bombay.

International airport is Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport (Sahar Airport), which is about 10 kms from IIT Bombay. The Domestic Airport is at Terminal1A and Terminal1B (SantaCruz), which is about 15 kms.

You can call taxis and Pre-paid taxis and auto rickshaws are available from your IIT Bombay campus and reach international airport.

You need to stop your auto at International flights available at Terminal 2.
