Re: IIT Bombay M Tech Admission

To be eligible for the IIT Bombay M. Tech Admission, one must have qualified in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) and need to have scores equal to or above the GATE Cutoff specified by IIT Bombay for admissions.

• Center of Studies in Resources Engineering
• Energy Science & Engineering
• Industrial Engineering & Operations Research
• Systems & Control Engineering
• Environmental Science & Engineering
• Centre For Technology Alternatives For Rural Areas(CTARA) (Technology And Development)

IIT Bombay M. Tech Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have passed any one of the following:

• B.E./ B. Tech./ B.Sc. (Engineering)/ M.Sc./ M.C.A./ MBBS/ M. Pharm./ B.Pharm.(4 yr. Degree)/ BDS (4 yr. Degree) with at least 60% (55% marks for SC/ST) marks.
OR

Associate Membership Exams recognized as equivalent to B.E. / B. Tech. Degree conducted by recognized professional bodies in India.

• One having degree from foreign universities are required to submit equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi for qualifying Exam and proof of having secured first class or 60% (55% for SC/ST) or equivalent in qualifying exam

• One must have passed the corresponding GATE Paper as specified.

One with an IIT B. Tech Degree with a CGPA/CPI of 8.00 and above are exempted from the requirement of GATE qualification but have to go through the process of applying as every other candidates.

IIT Bombay M. Tech Selection Procedure:

One is selected on the basis of Score in GATE 2016, a written test and a personal interview.

One, with exceptional GATE scores may be considered for direct admissions.

Candidates have to register first online and apply as follows:
• GATE Candidates
• Non GATE Candidates
• IIT B.Tech
• Foreign Nationals
• GATE qualified candidates may apply after the GATE results are announced
