The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is a public research university located in Delhi, India. It was declared to be Institute of National Importance by Government of India under Institutes of Technology Act. Hey buddy the Preparation of Drainage Master Plan for Delhi is a task entrusted to IIT Delhi by Govt. of Delhi to solve the problems of flooding. Mission There are two aspects of this task: To assess the adequacy of the existing drainage system by using the latest simulation technology and suggest solutions - task to be by experts from IIT Delhi To identify the problems at the locality level that give rise to the flooding IIT Delhi NSS Team has been engaged to spearhead the second task. Dedicated people from each locality of Delhi-NCT are being identified to closely work with the NSS team to identify and report the problems from their locality using simple but innovative technology of GPS enabled cell phones and GIS. Who can join this initiative? Anyone who wish to Champion the cause can Register immediately. Only limited number required from each locality. Each person shall be assigned a small area that shall require a small time to be spent.
