Eligibility Criteria

Electrical Engineering

Communication & Signal Processing-
One must have four-year Bachelor’s degree or five-year integrated degree with first division in Electrical/ Electronics and Communication/ Electronics and Instrumentation / Telecommunication/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology

VLSI Design and Nanoelectronics-
One must have four-year Bachelor’s degree or five-year integrated degree with first division in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering


Qualifying Examination

For Indian Candidates :
Valid GATE qualification in Electronics and Communication (EC) only

For Foreign Candidates :
Valid score of TOEFL or IELTS, AND valid score of GRE


IIT Indore M.Tech Admission Process through GATE

M.Tech admission process is based on GATE score and GATE cut off for IIT Indore. The detailed IIT Indore M.Tech admission process through GATE is elaborated below –


Shortlisting of Candidates:
After receiving M.Tech applications, IIT Indore shortlist the candidates eligible for admission
The shortlisting process is based on GATE cut off prepared by IIT Indore based on several factors.
One who clears the GATE cut off prescribed by IIT Indore will be called for the M.Tech counselling process.


Publication of Shortlist of Candidates:
IIT Indore will publish the list of shortlisted candidates eligible for M.Tech admission on the official website of IIT Indore.


IIT Indore M.Tech Counselling Process:
The shortlisted candidates need to attend the counselling process at IIT Indore on the stipulated dates.
During the counselling process, one must produce a valid GATE score card, educational qualification certificates etc.
The M.Tech admission will be granted to one based on the order of merit.


IIT Indore M.Tech Course Fee Payment:
After the verification certificates, one must pay the M.Tech course fee.
The admission will be confirmed only after the M.Tech fee payment.
If one wishes to avail the hostel facility, they need to pay a separate fee for the hostel.
