The Department of Industrial and Management Engineering (IME) at IIT Kanpur was established in 1974.

1. Minor in IME

By crediting any three courses from IME Department, B.Tech./B.S. students of IIT Kanpur become eligible for a “Minor in Mangement”.

There are no other formalities.

At the time of graduation, if you have done three IME or/and MBA courses, you will get a minor.

Facilities

The Department is equipped with state-of-art facilities for computational support.

The system optimization laboratory provides computational support both for teaching and for research.

It includes Pentiums and workstations connected to form a local area network, and to access the computing facilities of the institute and Internet.
