IIT Madras Tem
Hello sir , do you have info related to IIT Madras TEM, if yes then would you plz provide me some info for it ??? IIT Madras Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM) is facility at Indian Institute of Technology Madras including : Philips CM12 Transmission Electron Microscope with EDAX attachment (TEM) Ion miller Philips CM20 Transmission Electron Microscope GATAN Ion milling facility Jet polishing facility Low speed cutting machine Dimpler, ultrasonic disc cutter and other sample preparation facilities IIT Madras Tem have a JEOL 3010 instrument with a UHR polepiece. This gives a lattice resolution of 0.14 nm and a point to point resolution of 0.12 nm. We have a standard probe and a variable temperature probe (100 to 500 K). The instrument gas a Gatan digital camera. They do not have GIF, EELS and EDAX. Sample Requirements for IIT Madras TEM Dry powder or solution which evaporates on the TEM grid to form a dry film or a thin film already prepared on the TEM grid or microtomed biological specimen of < 70 nm thickness, etc. Nothing vacuum incompatible will be analysed. The typical column vacuum in our machine is < 1x10-5 pa. Samples which can cause strong beam induced damage should not be submitted which may harm the instrument. Sample must be submitted in advance as the grids will be prepared on the previous night (to reduce pumping time). Supporting information such as XRD / lower resolution TEM / SEM will be useful for the operator.
