At this time dates are not announced by IIT Patna for Ph.d. In general the advertisement of PhD programme is published in newspaper and placed on website in the month of March and September every year.

The research areas of the Departments in which applicants can apply and other eligibility requirements also, are mentioned in the advertisement.

Applicants having valid CSIR-NET(JRF)/UGC-NET(JRF)/DST-INSPIRE /DBT/any other fellowship from recognized government funding agencies may apply for Ph.D. at anytime.
