Delhi Technological University (DTU), some time ago known as Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), is a head government college situated in New Delhi, India. It is one of the most established building universities in India and Delhi's first designing school. It was set up in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic and was under the control of the Government of India. The school has been under the legislature of the National Capital Territory of Delhi since 1963 and was subsidiary with the University of Delhi from 1952 to 2009. In 2009, the school was given state college status, hence changing its name to Delhi Technological University.
