There are several categories within the Ph.D programme offers by IITKGP.

Regular with Institute Assistantship
Ph.D with Individual Fellowship (INSPIRE, UGC NET etc.)
Sponsored PhD
Ph.D through sponsored research projects

Eligibility Criteria
Master Degree in Engineering/Science/Commerce/ Management Discipline with minimum 60% marks

Have a Valid Score of GATE

MCP (Master of City planning)
ME (Master of Engineering)

Selection Process:
Overall academic performance : 40 per cent
Written/Computer Test : 40 per cent, and
Interview conducted by the Department/Centre/School : 20 per cent
