About the Workshop :

Department of Geography & Geoinformatics, Bangalore University is organizing a national level training/workshop on “Fundamentals of Geoinformatics” under the sponsorship of National Natural Remote Sensing (NNRMS) of
Department of Space, Government of India. Dr. Ashok D. Hanjagi, will be the Director for Training Programme and training will be conducted at Department of Geography & Geoinformatics, Bangalore University, Bangalore.


Duration
The training programme scheduled to be held:
From 06-02-2017 to 26-02-2017 and is 21 days or 3 weeks (1st Training / Workshop)
From 06-03-2017 to 26-03-2017 and is 21 days or 3 weeks(2 nd Training / Workshop).

Target group:
University/College teachers, Research scholars working in Earth Sciences (Geography, Geology and
Envi. Science) from all parts of India are eligible for the workshop/training programme.


Selection procedures:
Applicants will be selected based on their interest and future application of Geoinformatics in their respective disciplines.
Young faculty and researchers will be given more preference. Candidates applying from remote Universities and colleges will be given higher priorities.
