National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) is Offering the Banks and Financial Institutions a new payment service called “Interbank Mobile Payment Service (IMPS)”.

The service enables transfer of funds using the mobile number of the recipient instead of the account number.

The remitter should be a registered user of our Bank’s Mobile Banking Service and the beneficiary should provide his mobile number registered with his Bank for this purpose, and also a 7 digit MMID (Mobile Money Identifier) allotted to his account by the Bank.

Fund Transfers to accounts in SBH are routed through CBS while interbank remittances will be routed through the NPCI.
