UPSC conducts Indian Forest Services (IFS) Exam for recruitment to forestry services of India. From 2013, exam pattern has changed.

IFS Important Dates

Date of Notification: 27 April, 2016
Last Date to Apply: 27 May, 2016
Date of Exam (Prelims): 7 August, 2016 (CSAT)
IFS Main Exam: 12 November, 2016

Eligibility Criteria

Age: Your age must be between 21 years 32 years on 1st August of the year of exam. Upper age limit is relaxable in some cases.

Education:

You must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects - Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering.

Number of Attempts:

Six attempts not applicable in case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe.

After written examination, interview for personality test will be of 300 marks.
