Re: Indian Forest Services Training

The Indian Forest Services is invited candidates for training program. The Indian Forest Service is one of the three All India Services, the other two being the Indian Administrative Service & the Indian Police Service. IFS is established in 1966 under the All India Services Act 1951.

The IFS officers of the country are part of the nation's management expertise pool. The training course for the IFS Probationers is designed to address these requirements.

Some of the essential elements of the training are as follows:

Capacity building by imparting technical knowledge and skills required in forestry sector
Enhancing management skills
The personality development as a member of Indian Forest Service
