Indian Institute of Science Bangalore does not offer part time M.Tech program.

The Institute offers regular M.Tech programs.

Candidates must have valid GATE scores to be considered for admissions

IISc M.Tech programs

Electronic Systems Engineering

Eligibility-

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree with Electronics as one of the subjects of study (with a valid GATE)
or
M Sc or equivalent degree in Physics with Electronics as the special subject (with a valid GATE).

Computational Science

Eligibility-

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree in any discipline (with a valid GATE)
or
M Sc or equivalent degree in any discipline (with a valid GATE)
or
Master’s in Computer Application (with a valid GATE).
In all cases a strong mathematical and programming background is required.

Climate Science

Eligibility-

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree in any discipline (with a GATE Paper in AE, CE, CH, EC, EE, ME, XE)
or
M Sc or equivalent degree in Physical Sciences (with Gate Paper in GG, PH).

Instrumentation

Eligibility-

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in EE,EC, IN)
or
M Sc or equivalent degree with specialization in Instrumentation (with a GATE Paper in EC,IN, PH).

Transportation and Infrastructure Engineering

Eligibility-

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree in any discipline (with a valid GATE).

Earth Science

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree in any discipline (with a GATE paper in ME, CH, CE, CS, XE, XL)
or
M Sc or equivalent degree in any discipline (with a GATE paper in GG, CY,PH, MA).

Nano Science and Engineering

Eligibility-

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree in any discipline (with GATE paper in AE, BT, CH, EE, EC, IN, ME, MT, PH, XE)
or
M Sc or equivalent degree in Electronics, Physics, Chemistry (with GATE in CY, EC, IN, PH paper)

M.Tech Selection Procedure:

On the basis of GATE scores.
Candidates may be required to appear for a written test and an interview to be selected for admissions
