Re: Indian Institute Of Space Science And Technology Admission

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram will conduct admission to various engineering programmes offered at the institute.

Candidates have to qualify JEE Main 2017 conducted by CBSE and appear in JEE Advanced 2017 conducted by IITs to join the engineering programmes in IIST.

Candidates have to register online from May 22, 2017 and last date to register is June 12, 2017.

IIST B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Higher secondary or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects

The minimum score in above mentioned subjects taken together for general and OBC categories must be at least 75% marks

Candidates belonging ST/SC/PwD category must secure a minimum aggregate marks of 65%.

Age limit-

Applicants of General category must have been born on or after October 1, 1992.

Candidates of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories must be born on or after October 1, 1987.

Candidates must appear in JEE Main 2017 to get qualified for JEE Advanced 2017.

The minimum category-wise marks required in JEE Advanced 2017 are as follow:

General Category (GEN): At least 20% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken collectively and at least 5% marks in each of the subject

Other Backward Community – Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) Category: At least 18% aggregate marks in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics taken collectively and 4.5% marks in each of the subjects.

Scheduled Caste(SC)/ Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ Persons with Disabilities(PwD) Categories: At least 10% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken collectively and 2.5% marks in each of the subjects.
