| Indian police service course
My big brother wants to apply for the post of the Indian police service. So before applying he is looking for the course syllabus of it. Is there any one who can tell me about from where I can download the syllabus of the post of the Indian police service? Also give me the last year question paper of it?

The Union Public Service Commission conducts Exams to join Indian Police Service. So you have to apply for UPSC Exam conducted every year to join Indian Police Service. Here I am giving details about minimum requirements for Indian Police Service Exam for your reference: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Education: Bachelor Degree from recognized University Age Limit: 21 – 30 Years Nationality: Indian Only Age Relaxation: Upto max. 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Upto max. 3 years for OBC candidates. Upto max. 5 years for candidate from the State of Jammu & Kashmir Upto max. 5 years for Defence Services personnel Upto max. 5 years for Ex-servicemen including Commissioned officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years Military Service and have been released. Upto max. 5 years for ECOs/SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment of 5 years of Military Service. Total Number of Attempts: For General category candidates: 4 attempts For OBC candidates: 7 attempts For SC/ST candidates: No restriction Physical Standard: Minimum Height Men - 165cm Women - 150cm Minimum Chest Girth - Men/Women: 84cm 79cm Myopia (including cylinder) should not exceed minus 4.00D Hypermyopia (including cylinder) should not exceed plus 4.00D Exam Scheme: PAPER-I (Indian Police Service IPS Syllabus ) This paper is for 200 marks. The duration for this paper is 2 hours. It is an objective type paper. PAPER -II (Indian Police Service IPS Syllabus ) Even paper 2 is for 200 marks. Its duration is 2 hours. It is also objective type paper like MCQ’S. PAPER III (Indian Police Service IPS Syllabus ) This paper is for 200 marks. The duration of this paper is 3 hours. This paper is the qualifying test and a descriptive test. PAPER-IV (Indian Police Service IPS Syllabus ) It is an Essay writing paper. This paper is of 300 marks. It is a descriptive paper. PAPER V (Indian Police Service IPS Syllabus ) General Studies, this paper is of 200 marks. The duration for this paper is 3 hours and it is also a descriptive type paper. |
