National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, prior known as Regional Institute of Technology was set up on fifteenth August 1960 as a joint wander of Government of India and the Government of Bihar in the chain of REC's (Regional Engineering College) in India with the expect to produce specialized alumni of most elevated models who could give mechanical administration to the area.
