Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology (HIET), Chennai was founded in 1966 run by the Hindustan Engineering Training centre (HETC) Educational society and registered as a Technical Education Society. HIET is approved by AICTE, Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India.

Courses Offered:

1. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering - (AME)

2. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering - (Airframe & Engine)

3. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering - (Radio Navigation)

Duration: Three years

Admission Criteria:
Candidate shall have passed minimum 10+2 class with aggregate of 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics or A three year Diploma in Engineering or A higher qualification in Science with Physics and Mathematics.

Selection Procedure:
Selection is based on entrance test.

5. Diploma in Automobile Engineering

6. Diploma in Automobile Technology

7. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Duration: Three years

Admission Criteria:
Candidates should have passed SSLC / 10th Standard or any other equivalent examination approved by the DOTE, Government of Tamil Nadu.
