The general requirements for Faculty posts vacancy in Institute of Rural Management Anand are as follows:

Faculty

Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, positions in the following areas:
● Management (Marketing, Operations/ Project management, IT & Systems, Strategy,
Finance, OB/HR)
● Economics (Macro Economics), Social Sciences (Gender, Development Communications)
● Law (Law and Economics, Law and Ethics, Governance, Rights Based)

The appointment for faculty positions is a regular appointment with a probation period of two years.

Faculty positions and eligibility criteria at different positions is shown below:

 Assistant Professor – Ph.D. with potential for scholarship, teaching and training, Pay Band 1) Rs. 37400 - 67000 + AGP Rs. 9000, 2) Rs. 15600 - 39100 + GP Rs. 8000
 Associate Professor – Ph.D. with at least 5 years of teaching at PG level, research and publications, Pay Band Rs. 37400 - 67000 + AGP Rs. 9500
 Professor – Ph.D. with at least 10 years of teaching at PG level; research and significant publications, Pay Band Rs. 37400 - 67000 + AGP Rs. 10500

In addition to above, Post Graduate degree in Management is preferred for Faculty positions in Management Areas; Post Graduate Degree in Law/ Ph.D in Law for Law Faculty; Post Graduate degree in Sociology /Political Science /History /Economics for the Social Science Faculty.

Everything else being equal, people with verified expertise in the agriculture, rural and social sectors development, and natural resource management would be preferred.

Every faculty member is expected to have a portfolio of engagements including teaching, training, and research and consulting.

There is a modest provision of sharing from the consulting income of the Institute. IRMA offers attractive salary and other benefits.
